This policy explains how FieldApp handles your data.
FieldApp is designed for offline, on‑device data collection. We do not operate servers for storing your content, and we do not collect analytics by default.
Data you create (campaigns, sample sets, samples, notes, numbers, dates, GPS locations, and photos) is stored locally on your device using Apple technologies.
Photos you capture in‑app or attach from your library are saved into the app’s local storage and referenced in CSV exports.
When you export a campaign, sample set, or sample, FieldApp generates CSV files and, if included, bundles photos into a .zip archive. You choose where these files are saved or shared (e.g., Files app, AirDrop, email). Once exported, those copies are outside FieldApp’s control.
FieldApp functions fully offline. The app does not require an account, and it does not upload your data to external services. Any network activity is initiated by you (for example, sharing an export).
FieldApp requests access to your device camera and photo library only when you use photo features. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
FieldApp is a general‑purpose data collection tool and does not target children. Educators and guardians should supervise use where appropriate.
If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact: support@fieldapp.org.
We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
